PlateDiary AI reads your table.

Snap the table the way you always do. PlateDiary AI names every dish, answers questions about your diary in plain words, and serves your month back as a story — while your diary stays on your phone.

10 free tries for everyone

Reads your table

Every dish named, with its cuisine and a few tags.

Tap Read on the review, or let members' reads start on their own once the snap has landed. Each save gets a name, a cuisine and a few tags, so search, collections and “eaten 4×” all have something to hold on to.

It never overwrites you. A name you already typed stays yours, and the AI's idea waits beside it as a suggestion. Names you have used at the same place before are reused, so the tuna stays “Tuna steak” every visit. And Keep never waits for the read: swipe away and the names land on your saves afterwards.

Ask PlateDiary

Ask your diary. It answers in your own saves.

“Where did I last have ramen?” “What do I order at Nori Bar?” “My best-rated dishes this year.” Ask in plain words, and the answer comes back with your own saves, places and moments as cards you can open.

The questions to try are built on your phone from your own tables, so they always fit. To answer, PlateDiary looks up a few rows on your phone and sends only those. Nothing is kept afterwards.

For PlateDiary AI members: 25 questions a day.

Served

Your month, served as a story.

When a month ends, PlateDiary turns it into pages you tap through: what you kept, your dish of the month, your regular and the places that were new, who was across the table, the big night — then a table personality and a letter from the month itself. December brings the whole year.

Every page is made on your phone. PlateDiary AI can write the title, the personality and the letter from counts and names alone, and the words are kept on your phone, so the story opens offline after that.

And more

Small things that make the diary smarter.

  • Smart collections

Type a sentence. The collection fills itself.

“Dinners at Kōya with Ana.” “September food.” “5 stars.” Your phone reads the sentence first — places, companions, tags, dates, stars and dish words — and most never leave it. Only if words are left over can you tap to let PlateDiary AI read the rest. New saves that fit can join on their own. Smart collections are collections, so they come with Premium.

  • Here again

One line for a place, from your own notes.

On a place page, tap for a line like “The tuna, probably — Ana stole half last time,” with the visits it came from. It is written once and kept for the session.

  • Calories, if you want them

Opt-in, and off unless you turn them on.

Switch Calories on and each dish gets one rough “~” number you can accept or change, plus a Calories page that adds up the meals you saved. With it off, the app looks exactly as it did before.

What leaves your phone

It asks first, and sends only what each feature needs.

Each feature has its own one-time yes, because each sends something different. Your diary itself never goes anywhere: no account, no upload, no copy on a server.

FeatureWhat goes upWhen
ReadsSmall pictures of the cut-out dishes, the place's name, and dish names you have used thereWhen you tap Read, or after the snap for members who chose auto-read

Never sent: the table photo, faces, or your location. Nothing is kept on the server once the answer is back. Calorie numbers never go to analytics, and nothing is written to a health app.

Questions

Before you snap the first table.

What does PlateDiary AI do?

It names the dishes you snap, with their cuisine and a few tags, and never overwrites a name you typed. Members can also ask their diary questions in plain words. It writes the words for Served, your month and year stories, helps a smart collection read a sentence, and writes a Here again line for a place from your own notes.

What does PlateDiary AI send off my phone?

Only what each feature needs, and only after you say yes once: small pictures of the cut-out dishes, with the place's name as a hint, for a read, or a few of your own words — a question, a sentence, some dish and place names — for the rest. Never the table photo, faces, or your location. Nothing is kept on the server, and capture, cutouts and browsing never need it.

Is PlateDiary AI free?

Everyone gets 10 free tries. After that, PlateDiary AI is a membership that includes all of PlateDiary Premium, and Ask PlateDiary is for members. Prices come from your store, in your currency.

Does PlateDiary still work without AI or without a signal?

Yes. Snapping, cutting out, keeping and browsing all happen on your phone and work with no connection at all. Offline, the AI card simply says so, and the rest of the app is unchanged.

I already have Premium. What happens?

PlateDiary AI includes Premium, so you only add what is new. Lifetime Premium members get PlateDiary AI as an add-on, and subscribers can add it or move to one plan; your store shows the price before you pay.
